The owner of the restaurant is a gracious host and quite knowledgeable about Andre's time in the building. He has decorated the public areas with many pictures, maps, etc. A visit to this site is highly recommended to enthusiasts of the Arnold/Andre story.
According to Cornel Lengyel, in his book "I, Benedict Arnold," Arnold attended a council of war called by Gen. Washington in this building on Sept. 6, 1780.
