Salem Street Burying Ground, Salem St at River St, Medford, MA

According to Dr. James Thacher in his Rev War journal, it was Col. John Brooks "an intelligent officer from Massachusetts" who captured Hon Yost Schuyler and proposed the ruse that raised the siege of Fort Stanwix. He said that Arnold, when he caught up with the forward unit commanded by Brooks, approved the stratagem.
