Montgomery's Original Burial Site
Just outside the gate of The Citadel, 1 Côte de la Citadelle, Québec City, Quebec, Canada
After the battle in which he was killed, the British buried General Montgomery just inside the Old City's St. Louis Gate, along the road to the Citadel entrance.
In 1818, Richard Montgomery's remains were transported from Quebec City, where he fell in battle, to be reinterred at St. Paul's in NYC. (See my gallery "Gen. Richard Montgomery Grave and Home")
